Instant loan apps in Malaysia 2026
Instant loan apps let you apply for a small personal loan from your phone, often with just your MyKad and a bank account. In Malaysia only moneylenders licensed by KPKT may offer them legally, and interest on an unsecured loan is capped at 18% a year.
The apps below are run by companies listed in KPKT's online lending list. Eligibility, documents and payout times were read from each lender's own website on 30 September 2026.
The order below is commercial: we may be paid when you apply through these links. It is not a quality rating. Every lender listed shows its KPKT licence on its own website.

How fast is an instant loan really?
"Instant" usually describes the decision, not the money. Nimbura says approval takes about 15 minutes and funds arrive the same day. AdaCash processes applications within a few hours during working hours, and applications made at night the next day. Tambadana sends funds within 24 working hours of signing the agreement. SakuWang requires the agreement to be signed at its Kuala Lumpur office.
Cash within an hour is possible when you apply early on a working day, your details check out the first time and the agreement is signed online. Weekends, public holidays and a bank account in someone else's name all add delays.
Eligibility and documents
According to each lender's website:
- Nimbura: Malaysian citizen aged 18 to 70, MyKad and an active bank account. RM300 to RM5,000 for new customers, up to RM10,000 for returning ones.
- Tambadana: Malaysian resident aged 21 to 60, salaried employees only, earning at least RM1,500 a month. MyKad and bank details only, no payslip. First loan RM300 to RM3,000 over 3 months. More on lenders that skip the payslip: pinjaman tanpa slip gaji (in Bahasa Malaysia).
- AdaCash: Malaysian resident aged 21 or over with a steady income, MyKad or passport and a bank account in your own name. Up to RM5,000; 3 months for a first loan, up to 6 months after that.
- SakuWang: RM500 to RM10,000 over 3 to 6 months. Other requirements: see the lender's website.
Rates and fees
A licensed moneylender may charge at most 18% a year on an unsecured loan and 12% on a secured one. Online lenders typically quote interest per day on the amount borrowed: Tambadana's own example is RM5,000 for 90 days with RM225 of interest. Stamp duty and other charges set out in the agreement may be deducted from the amount paid out, so read the agreement before you sign.

How to spot an illegal loan app
Walk away if an app does any of these:
- It asks for access to your contacts or photo gallery.
- It asks for a fee before paying out the loan.
- It shows no KPKT licence number (starting with WL) on its website or in the app.
- The developer name on Google Play or the App Store does not match the licensed company.
- It promises 100% approval with no checks, or deals with you only through WhatsApp.
How to check a lender's licence
Download KPKT's i-KrediKom app, search for the company name or licence number, and check that the website domain matches the one approved for online lending, character by character. Our list of licensed moneylenders (in Bahasa Malaysia) shows each lender's licence number and validity date, and the Bahasa Malaysia comparison of loan apps covers the same lenders.
How to apply
- Work out how much you need and the instalment you can afford.
- Pick one lender whose requirements you meet, rather than applying to several at once.
- Install the app from the link on the lender's own website.
- Upload your MyKad, verify your bank account and complete the application.
- Read the loan agreement, including fees and late payment terms, before signing.
